GUIDING PRINCIPLES:
FIRST NATION RELATIONS AND SUSTAINABLE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT
(Adopted by the Board of Directors)
Predator Group member companies are supportive of a progressive, cooperative relationship with all governments, including First Nations, and communities as we advance our projects. We are committed to developing sustainable and long term relationships and believe we have an obligation to the communities in which we operate. We strive to be good stewards of the environment and socially responsible through our actions and act as good neighbours at all times.
Our goal is to operate with respect, integrity and honest intent as we engage communities and allow for the community and its people to have the opportunity to participate and to create opportunity from our activities.
We work with governments and communities in a progressive, cooperative relationship and believe in mutual respect and consideration. We will comply with all laws relating to our business and, in the context of today's competitive market, we assure that we will do so in a fair manner that promotes competition and economic development. Acting with integrity and honesty will assure that we uphold our values.
Predator Group member companies, their boards and management support:
- best industry practices in delivering local benefits and local capacity-building through training, employment, contract opportunities and business development as we advance our projects;
- sound business practices and cost management when considering our commitment to provide for local benefits and local capacity-building;
- developing reasonable exploration cooperation and socio-economic benefits agreements with respective First Nations.
Predator Group member companies, even in the absence of signed agreements, will act in a manner consistent with these stated values and commitments. Predator Group member companies will work towards umbrella exploration cooperation agreements in each traditional territory in which they operate. At such time that a specific project advances into the development stage, the particular Predator Group member will then work towards a project specific Socio-Economic Benefits Agreement with the relevant First Nation.
